DRECKMAN RITES HELD THIS A.M.
Long Time Resident of Plymouth County Died Thursday
Frank J. Dreckman, long time resident of Le Mars, passed away at the Sacred Heart hospital on Thursday, July 31, following a six months sixkness. He was 75 years two months and 2 days old at the time of his death.
Frank Dreckman was born May 29, 1872, at Galena, Ill., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Franz Dreckman came to Plymouth County when he was seven years old. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Deters at St. Joseph’s church in Le Mars on January 14, 1896. They celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary in 1946. Mr. Dreckman was a member of the Hold Name Society.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth, five sons: Joseph, Leo, Harry, Conrad and Vincent, all of Le Mars; Five daughters, Mrs. Isadore Mayrose of Remsen; the four other daughters are the sisters in the Franciscan Order, Sister Leota of Dubuque, Sister Thoena of the ST. Anthony Home in Sioux City, Sister Angelora of the Sacred heart Hospital, Le Mars, and Sister Margaret Clair of the Holy Ghost school of Dubque.
Funeral services were held this morning at 9 o’clock at St. Joseph’s church, Le Mars, Msgnr. J. D. Fisch officiated at the Solem Requem Mass, Father Leo Harpenau was deacon; Father Zeno Rising was sub-deacon and Father E. Thoms was master of ceremonies. Interment was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Six of Mr. Dreckman’s nephews served as pall bearers.
Mr. Dreckman was preceded in death by a daughter, Philomene who passed away in 1918-at the age of 15.
Wiltgen’s Funeral home was in charge of the arrangements.
