George Faulkner
George W. Faulkner, 87, Hendricks, Minn., a former longtime Le Mars area farmer died at Henricks nursing home on Dec. 22, 1976, after a lengthy illness.
He was born June 16, 1889, at Stocklinch, England, the son of Samuel and Mary White Faulkner.
He came to the United States in March 1912, when he came to Plymouth county and settled near Le Mars.
He was married Dec. 2, 1917, to Lillian Null The couple farmed in Elgin township for many years before moving to Elkton, S.D., where they continued to farm until their retirement into Elkton in 1955.
For the last six years they have lived at the Hendricks' nursing home.
Survivors are his wife, Lillian; three dfaughters, Mrs. Be (Lavonne) Hartmann. Evanston, Ill.; Mrs. James (Dorothy) Baumgardner, Santa Ana, Calif.; and Mrs. Earl (Gladys) Cageby, Ward, S. D.; a son, William Faulkner, Akron; three sisters and two brothers who live in England; seven grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

George William Faulkner, 87, Hendricks, Minn., former Akron resident died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1976, at a Hendricks nursing home following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 24 at the Eidness funeral chapel, Elkton, S. D, Jeroe Swanson officiated. Interment was in the L e Mars cemetery at LeMars with the Rev. E. J. Berreth officiating.
Suriviors include is widow, Lillian a resident of the Hendricks nursing home; three daughters, Mrs Ben (LaVonne) Hartmann, Evanston, Ill., Mrs. Earl (Gladys) Gageby, Ward, S.D., and Mrs. James (Dorothy) Baumgardner, Santa Ana, Calif.; one son, William Faulkner jr., Akron; three sisters and two brothers in England; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
