Funeral Rites Friday
At Remsen For Mrs. Elizabeth RobertsMrs. Elizabeth Roberts, 59, of Chandler, Minn., died Tuesday, Aug. 26 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lillian Tonsfeldt near Granville after an illness of two years.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug. 29 at 9 a.m. at St Mary's Catholic Church in Remsen. The Rev. George Theobald will conduct the services. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery.
Mrs. Elizabeth Gehrens Roberts was born May 17, 1893, in Luxembourg. She came to the United States with her parents and lived near Remsen until 15 years ago when she moved to Chandler.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. George (Virginia) Schwarz, Montebello, Calif.; Mrs. Roman (Florence) Offerman, Remsen; Mrs. Tonsfeldt and Mrs. Art (Elizabeth) Gust, Balflour, S. D. Three sons, Ed Beelner, North Hollywood, Calif.; Clarence Beelner, Paden City, W. Va.; and Roman Beelner, Lake Wilson, Minn., 17 grandchildren/ Also seven sisters, Mrs. Mary Beelner, Kingsley; Mrs. Mike Klein, Remsen; Mrs. Joe Schreier, Le Mars; Mrs. John Ihri, North Dakota; Mrs. Bernard Dentzer Chicago and Mrs. Matt Boever, Wabasso, Minn. Three brothers Emil Gehrens, Remsen; John Gehrens, Kingsley and Nick Gehrens, Linn Grove.
The body will be at the Fisch funeral home until the time of services.
