William “Bill” Stuart Lancaster, died Friday, Aug. 21, 2020, in Springfield, Missouri.

He was born Nov. 26, 1927, at rural LeMars to M. J. and Rosabelle Lancaster. He graduated in 1945 from LeMars High School. He and Leona farmed near Seney and moved to LeMars in the early 60’s. Bill remodeled and built many new homes.

They moved to Vermillion, South Dakota, in 1987. They worked on several mission churches. In 1991, they moved to Aurora, Missouri. Bill helped with Personal Energy Transportation and recycling. There were active in Habitat for Humanity.

They wintered in the Rio Grande Valley, for many years where they volunteered to tutor in elementary school and were active in their R. V. Park. They also helped with entertainment at the tourist center.

In 2010, they moved to Maranatha Village in Springfield, Missouri.

Most importantly, while living in Vermillion, Bill accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

Survivors include: (daughters) Linda McGlynn of Ames, Kathy and Rog Haahr of Springfield, Missouri, and Sherry and Doug Bockenfeld of Rogers, Arkansas. (Grandchildren) Aaron and Nicole McGlynn of Kalona, Meggon and Michael John of Windsor Heights, Hannah and Bryan Hood of Highlandville, Missouri, Elijah Haahr of Springfield, Missouri, Noah and Megan Haahr of Springfield, Missouri, Maren and John Rinaldi of Victoria, Minnesota, Drew and Elesa Bockenfeld, of Dallas, Texas and Cole and Nkechi Bockenfeld of Washington D.C.

(Great-grandchildren) Elizabeth and Nicholas John Morgan and Moriah McGlynn, Montana and Josef Hood, Jackson, Reagan, Scarlett and Alexandra Haahr, Silas, Samson, Judah, Stella Haahr, Francesca, Ambra, Marcello, and Alessandra Rinaldi and Aliya Bockenfeld.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six siblings and their spouses.

Graveside service will be held at the Greenlawn Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri. The Greenlawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
