Death of Mrs. Glenn Davis
Had Suffered From Ill Health for Many Years
Mrs. Davis, the wife of Glenn Davis, proprietor of the People's cafe, 816 Main street, died very suddenly at her home on Saturday morning. Mrs. Davis had been in very poor health for several years and had been more or less of an invalid for the past ten years but there was no premonition of the end.
Early on Saturday morning, she was resting in bed and a few hours later was found dead when inmates of the house went to her room
Mrs. Davis was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. A. H. Mosher. Dr. Mosher was for many years a well-known physician in Sioux and Plymouth, counties residing In Ireton and later in Le Mars before moving a short time ago to Missouri.
Grace Mosher lived all her life in this vicinity. She was born at Ireton on January 28, 1884, and attended the public schools and was educated there.
She was united in marriage with Glen G. Davis at that place on June 5, 1902, and lived there until the fall of 1903 when they came to Le Mars which has been their home since.
Mrs. Davis Is survived by her husband and three sons, who are Arthur, Curtis, and Darwin and by her parents, Dr. and Mrs. A. H. Mosher, of Branson, Mo., and two sisters, Mrs. Horry G. Fox and Mrs. Everett G. Tripp, of Sioux City.
The funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the Beely undertaking parlors and were in charge of the members of the Le Mars lodge of Odd Fellows. Rev. B. L. James, the pastor of the Baptist Church, conducted the services.
Friends and relatives attending the funeral were: Mrs. Flora Putnam, Dickens, la., Mrs. Calvin White, of Mrs. Walter Garr and William Lockard, of Le Mars, sisters of Mr. Davis, Mrs. William Davis, mother, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Davis, of this city, Harvey Collins, of Ireton, a cousin of Mrs. G. G. Davis, Mrs. H. G. Fox and Mr. and Mrs. B. G. Tripp, of Sioux City, sisters, and brother-in-law. of the deceased woman.
The interment was. Made in the city cemetery.
Mrs. Davis bore many years of sickness uncomplainingly. She was a devoted wife and mother and had a large number of friends who extend sympathy to the bereaved, family.
