OBITUARY
James Elmer Bammer, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Bammer, was born near Eldridge, Scott county, Iowa, on October 30, 1892, and died April 9, 1928, at the Methodist hospital, Sioux City, Iowa, at the age of 35 years, 5 months and 10 days. When he was three months old he moved with his parents to Cherokee county. He grew to manhood on the farm where he met his death.

He was united in marriage in April 1916, to Hulda Husse, of Kingsley, Ia.. To this union were born four children; Dorothy L, age 11 years; Wyndham H., age 9; Elmer Jr., age 7; and Quentin, age 5. Besides his wife and children, he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Bammer, of Cherokee; one brother, Howard of Washta; four sisters; Mrs. H. N. Harrison, Washta; Mrs. Jacob Lauer, Cherokee; Mrs. Charles Goodman, Ft. Madison; Mrs. E.P. Tucker, Panora; a host of other relatives.

Funeral services were held from the Congregational church, Thursday afternoon, Rev. C.V. Hulse, pastor of the Kingsley Methodist church, officiating and interment was made in the Kingsley cemetery.
