HENRY W. HENNIGS

LEMARS, Ia. – Special: Funeral services for Henry W. Hennigs, 90, of LeMars, who died Sunday at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Christ Lutheran Church in Grant township. Rev. Dennis Mueller will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery, under the direction of the Fisch funeral home of Remsen.

Mr. Hennigs was born August 15, 1871, in Germany. He came to the United States at the age of 17. He taught in Lutheran parochial schools in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana and Iowa before retiring to LeMars in 1933. He married Marie Schuette on June 25, 1896, at Oconto, Wis. She died in 1951.

Survivors include five sons, Luther of Stoutland, Mo., Roland of Los Angeles, Armin and Norman, both of Chicago, and Hilbert of LeMars; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph V. Fisch of Remsen and Mrs. F. W. Knoop of Santa Barbara, Cal.; 14 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
