OBITUARY.
Henry Reese, 87, Erickson, Neb., died Friday (Feb. 22, 1974) at a Burwell hospital after being hospitalized for two weeks.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Feb. 24, at 2 p.m. at O’Neil, Neb., with burial at Chambers, Neb.

Mr. Reese was born Jan. 25, 1887, in Plymouth County, LeMars, the oldest child of the late Peter and Mathilda Pecks Reese. He was a member of the Lutheran Church at Burwell.

Relatives from this area who attended services were Mrs. Annie Siebens, Mrs. Emma Eilks and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Utesch, all of LeMars; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Reese and Mr. and Mrs. Farel Harrington, Brunsville and Ray Schmidt, Sioux City.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Milford (Bernice) Hultgren, Sylmar, Calif.; two sons, Arthur of Huntington Park, Calif., and Wallace of Downey, Calif.; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, all in California; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Siebens and Mrs. Emma Eilks of LeMars; Mrs. Minnie Ritterbush, Chambers, Neb., and a brother Jack Reese, of Brunsville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Schmidt and Mrs. Laura Ritterbush.

HENRY REESE
Funeral services for Henry Reese, 87, a resident of the Ericson area and former Holt County resident, were held Sunday, February 24 at 2 p.m. at the Biglin Mortuary, O’Neill, with Rev. Larry Miller, Lutheran pastor officiating. Burial was in the Chambers Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Melvin Drahota, Orval Eppenbach, Paul Stalker and Joe Hrunza, all of Erickson, Neb.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Reese, he was born January 28, 1887, at Brunsville, Iowa and died Friday, February 22, 1974 at the hospital in Sargent, Nebraska. Most of his earlier years were spent in Holt County as a ranch hand. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Burwell. For over 15 years, he had made his home with August Carstens, Ericson.

Surviving are three children, Arthur Reese of Huntington, California, Wallace Reese of Downey, California, and Mrs. Bernice Hultgren of Sylmar, California; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Siebens and Mrs. Emma Eilks, both of LeMars, Iowa, Mrs. Minnie Ritterbush of Chambers; one brother, Jack Reese of Brunsville, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his former wife, two sisters and his parents.

Fleming Funeral Home of Burwell is in charge of the arrangements.
