John “Jack” Reese
BRUNSVILLE, Iowa—John “Jack” Reese, 78, of Brunsville, died Friday at a LeMars hospital of brief illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. James Catholic Church, LeMars. The Rev. Thomas Geelan will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, LeMars. The Rosary will be recited by the parish at 8 p.m. today in the Luken-Johnson Funeral Home.

Mr. Reese was born Oct. 17, 1900 in Washington Township, Plymouth County. He married Ione Luken, April 12, 1928, in LeMars.

He operated a bulk and retail gasoline business in Brunsville 45 years. The last 11 years he served as a custodian at the Gehlen School in LeMars.

He is survived by his wife of Brunsville and two sisters, Mrs. Emma Eilks and Mrs. Annie Siebens, both of LeMars.
