John Peter Wurth, who died December 23, at the home of his son, Fidelis, in Sioux City, was born May 27, 1879, at Le Mars. Mr. Wurth, retired farmer, has been ill for several years and for the past year has made his home with his son in Sioux City.

He is survived by four sons, Fidelis of Sioux City, Osward and William of Zurich, Montana, Louis of Le Mars, six daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Tentinger of Bell Flower, California, Mrs., Mrs. Barbara Lee of Sioux City, Mrs. Margaret Syverson of Sioux City, Mrs. Lisle Sexton of West Plains, Missouri and Mrs. Dorothy Lamone of Salina, Kansas, one brother, Nick Wurth of Omaha, 16 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife and a sister, Mrs. J. A. Hentges of this city.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 9:30 at St. Catherine’s church in Oyens with Rev. H. B. Karhoff officiating with burial in St. Catherine’s cemetery. The remains are at the Wiltgen Funeral Home until time of services.
