Cleo E. Hentges

Funeral services for Miss Cleo E. Hentges, 215 Plymouth street N.E. will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 19 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Le Mars with Rt. Rev. Msgr. J. D. Fisch officiating. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery under direction of the Wiltgen-Luedtke Funeral home. Friends called after 2 p.m. Monday at the Funeral home.

Miss Hentges was born Aril 3, 1885 in Le mars and had been a lifetime residents here. She passed away on Sunday, May 17 at Sacred Heart hospital after having been in failing health for several weeks. Her parents were the late Nicholas and Anna Hentges.

Miss Hentges was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters of America; also a past Grand Regent and a member of Catholic Ladies Club of St. Joseph’s parish.

The parish rosary was recited at 8 o’clock on Monday at the funeral home and the Catholic Daughters recited the rosary at 8:30 p.m.

Survivors include three sisters, Helen, Gene and Emma all of Le Mars and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, John A.; Clem; Dan; William and Leo.
