CHARLES RASAR, 79, EXPIRES AT HOSPITAL—WAS LONGTIME REAL ESTATE DEALER.
Funeral Rites Set Thursday Afternoon.Charles C. Rasar, 79, longtime LeMars real estate dealer and worker in the Democratic party, died Monday morning at Sacred Heart Hospital after eight months of failing health.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John American Lutheran Church, with Rev. L.L. Belk officiating. Burial will be in LeMars Memorial cemetery.
Charles Claude Rasar was born Aug. 20, 1883, at Illiopolis, Ill. He was a school teacher in Illinois before coming to LeMars in 1911.
Mr. Rasar operated a dry cleaning business here before entering the real estate business in 1920, continuing in that capacity until his last illness. He maintained an office at his home at 101 2nd Ave. NW.
His marriage to Hermine Wiltz took place Nov. 6, 1912, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Wiltz here.
Surviving are his wife; a son and daughter, Herman and Mrs. Claudine Rasar Kass, both of LeMars; eight grandchildren, and three brothers, Grover C. of Taylorville, Ill., Brice D. of Warrensberg, Ill., and Don G. of Macon, Ga.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
