Death of Miss June Lilly

After an illness, extending over a period of about a year, Miss June Lilly passed away at her home east of town Sunday, December 8, 1918. Miss June was the second youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.H. Lilly and was born June 8, 1905, being exactly 13 years and 6 months old at the time of her death. June was a bright and loving girl, a favorite among her classmates. In school work she ranked as one of the best in her grade, having completed the 8th grade last June. In Sunday school she was one of the most faithful attendants, having never missed one Sunday when her health permitted her to go. Just in the bloom of youth, her sad and untimely taking away comes as a hard blow to her parents, brothers and sisters.

Brief prayer services were conducted at the home by Rev. F.K. Volck, of Akron, and short services were held at the grave. The pallbearers were Clark Lilly, Wm. Gant, Albert Harrington and Carl Moe. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. Interment was made in Riverside cemetery, Akron.

C.J. Tower came from Camp Dodge and was in attendance at the funeral.
