William Frederick Kilker, prominent farmer and lifelong resident of the Le Mars vicinity died of a heart attack Tuesday afternoon, June 8, while attending the household furniture auction at the Milo Price residence here.

Coroner, S. H. Luken said no inquest would be held. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Although Mr. Kilker had not been feeling well for sometime, he was up and around each day. He had driven to Minnesota last Sunday to attend an anniversary celebration.

William Kilker was born January 7, 1898 in Le Mars. He lived in this vicinity his entire life and was 56 years, 5 months and one day of age. On February 2, 1921, he was united in marriage to Anna C. Adden in Le Mars.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 11 at St. John’s American Lutheran Church with Rev. L. L. Belk officiating. Burial will be in the Le Mars city cemetery under direction of the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home.

Survivors include his wife and four children: Lorraine Brunkhorst, Merrill, Robert, Ruth and Edward of Le Mars. Also surviving are his father, William Kilker of Le Mars; two brothers, Erwin of Tyndall, South Dakota and Arthur of Le Mars.

Remains will be at the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home until time of services.
