Anna C. Kilker

Anna C. Kilker, 87, of Le Mars died Sunday (Feb. 14, 1988) at Plymouth Manor Care Center in Le Mars. She had lived at the center since Jan. 10, 1978.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John’s American Lutheran Church in Le Mars with Rev. David Kramer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Tuesday with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m. in Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kilker, the former Anna Adden, was born May 8, 1900,in Elgin Township, Plymouth County, to Albert and Johanna Friederichs Adden. She married William Kilker Feb. 2, 1921 in Le Mars. The couple farmed all their married life in the Le Mars area. He died in 1954.

Mrs. Kilker was a member of St. John’s American Lutheran Church.

Survivors are two sons; Robert and Edward, both of Le Mars; a daughter, Mrs. Loren (Ruth) Behrens of Kinsley, 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lorraine Brunkhorst in 1970; a sister and three brothers.
