Henry J. Borchers, 79, Hawarden, died Monday at the Hawarden hospital after a brief illness.
He was born Sept. 21, 1889, in Sioux county and was married to Marie Ludwigs, May 7, 1919, at Craig. He served in World War 1. His wife died in 1955.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Dow funeral home, Hawarden. Rev. Harris Hostager of the Akron Lutheran church will officiate and burial will be in the Hawarden cemetery.

Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Helene Ludwigs and Mrs. Etta Meiners, both of Le Mars, and a brother, Herman, Arkansas, Kan.

Henry J. and his wife Marie had no children.
Henry's parents are Diedrick Borchers and Ete Katarina Beckmann. They spent some time in Newkirk, Oklahoma.
