Stephen R. Pollock

Stephen R. Pollock, 27, a former Akron resident, died unexpectedly Saturday (June 21, 1980) at his home in Sioux City.
Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Schroeder Funeral home, Akron. The Rev. Peter J. Petersen officiated. Burial was in the Riverside cemetery in Akron.

Pallbearers were Marc Thorson, Steve Hasier, Don Feauto, Neil Chamberlain, Brad Downing, Rob Hasler.

Mr. Pollock was born June 25, 1952, in Akron where he lived until moving to Sioux City 18 months ago. He was a 1971 graduate of Akron Community high school and a graduate in electronics from Western Iowa Tech community college, Sioux City. He was self-employed in construction.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pollock of Sioux City, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Duin of Omaha; his grandmother, Mrs. Mary Alma Comstock, Sioux City; two sisters, Mrs. Randall (Sandra) Lilly, Sioux City and Mrs. Jiles (Deborah) Barbee, jr., Dakota City, Neb.; a brother, Richard, Wheatridge, Colo. and a step-sister, Mrs. Mike (Carol) Burke, Cypress, Calif.
