Roxanne E. Praeuner May19, 1948 – March 20, 2016

Roxanne Eden Praeuner from Pine Bluffs, Wyoming was received unto her Lord on March 20, 2016, after a two month battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born on May 19, 1948 to Charles and Martha Kruse in Worthington, Minnesota. She was born again in the waters of Holy Baptism two weeks later. She grew up near Le Mars, Iowa and graduated from Le Mars High School. She attended college at Wayne State College at Wayne, Nebraska and graduated with a Bachelors of Education and immediately began the vocation that she loved throughout her life as an elementary teacher.
During college, Roxanne met her husband of 47 years, Daniel Praeuner. They were married at Plymouth Presbyterian Church, outside of Le Mars, where her father was the Pastor. Both Roxanne and Daniel taught school after college in Bloomfield, NE, Hot Springs, SD, and Vernal, UT. Husband, Daniel, then became a Pastor in the Lutheran Church – Missouri, Synod and continues to serve at Grace and Zion Lutheran churches in Pine Bluffs and Grover, Colorado. Roxanne continued to teach in Lutheran Schools in Riverton, WY and Roswell, NM until her retirement in May of 2015.
Roxanne was blessed to be given the gifts and skills to serve the Lord as a faithful wife, mother, and teacher. She enjoyed traveling, working on various crafts, and singing in the church choir.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Martha Kruse. She is survived by her husband, Dan; daughter, Lynn Penton (husband Brian and grandchildren, Abbey, Allison, and Amber) all of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Carrie Huneke (husband, Kevin and grandchildren, Janelle, Daniel, and Martha) all of Leesville, LA; two sisters, Linda (Robert) McClelland of Katy, TX and Julia (Scott) Crouse of Avon, SD and multiple nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday at Grace English Lutheran Church in Pine Bluffs. Interment to take place 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Battle Creek, Nebraska.
The family requests that memorial be given to Grace Lutheran Church in Pine Bluffs and Zion Lutheran Church in Grover or to the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, WY.
