Mabel Wilheimina Erickson passed away Wednesday, April 16, 1913, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John E. Erickson, three miles south of this city, of pulmonary tuberculosis, aged 18 years, 11 months and 13 days.

Her illness appeared to start with an attack of whooping cough and for about a year she has been in declining health. Last fall she took treatment at Fort Dodge, Iowa, but received no benefit. Returning home, she received all the care that loving hearts and hands could bestow until there came the Master's summons that relieved her earthly suffering and peacefully wafted her soul to the realms of eternal rest.

Deceased was born on a farm in Preston township this county, May 3, 1894, and has lived in this vicinity every since. She was a kind and dutiful daughter, a loving sister and beloved by all who knew her. Her untimely departure is mourned by her parents, three brothers and two sisters who have the sympathy of the community.

After a brief service by Rev. Verenius, of Sioux City, tomorrow (Friday) forenoon at 11:30 o'clock at the home; the funeral will be held at 2 p.m. in the Akron German Lutheran church. Interment will be made in Riverside cemetery.
