MRS. CHARLES A. HUMMEL
Mrs. Charles A. Hummel, 83, a resident here since 1929, died Wednesday morning at a nursing home.
Mrs. Hummel, the former Eliza English, was born in Washington County, Kansas, Dec. 8. 1881. She was married to Charles A. Hummel Feb. 26, 1902. Mrs. Hummel was a member of the Rustin Ave. Methodist Church and Rose Croix Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, Elbert V. of Sioux City, a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter.
The body was taken to the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside.

Funeral services for Mrs. Charles A. Hummel, who died Wednesday morning at a nursing home, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Rustin Avenue Methodist Church. The Rev. Willis Thrurow will officiate and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Akron, Iowa.
The W. Harry Christy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers are Alva Cox, Laurence Phillips, Fred Mills, Virgil Campbell and Clarence and Walter Hummel.
