Note: Her gravestone has the year of birth as 1840 and she is buried in the Lincoln township cemetery. Her maiden name is Manwaring.
DIED Friday morning, May 14th, at her home near James in her forty-sixth year, Mrs. Jane A. Noble, beloved wife of E. J. Noble.
As a wife and mother Mrs. Noble had no superior. She leaves a large family worthy to be the pride of any mother. The purity of their lives shows the great worth of her training and influence, and their almost uncontrolable grief, at their great loss, attests to the deep love and esteem they feel for her.
Through a long and painful sickness her patience has been remarkable and conscious to the last, her calm trust in her Savior s a warrant that if faithful we shall again meet her where parting will never be.
The funeral services were conducted at her home by the Rev. Geo. Knox, of the First Presbyterian church of Sioux City, after which a large number of sympathizing friends accompanied the mourners to the grave.
