Mrs. A. Doering
Mrs. Anna Doering passed away of a heart attack at her home on Tuesday, November 11. She was 75 years old.
Anna Doering, nee Siebels, was born on March 20, 1877 in Jever, Oldenburg, Germany, the daughter of Henry and Teda Siebels, nee Dornbush. She was baptized in the United States when she was three years old. The deceased was three years old. The deceased was confirmed in Christ Lutheran Church, Grant Township and was united in marriage to J. D. Ahlfs on March 7, 1895. They lived on farms in the Craig and Struble vicinity for several years, moving to Le Mars in 1922, Mr. Ahlfs passed away on February 6, 1936.
She was married to Wm. Doering in 1945 and they lived in Bellfield, North Dakota until 1949 when they moved back to Le Mars. Mr. Doering died on July 11, 1950.
Survivors include one son, John H. Ahlfs of Le Mars; two sisters Mrs. Rieke Hauschild of Le Mars and Mrs. Freda McCoy of San Francisco, California; also two grandchildren, Dale of Le Mars and Lennice Zenk of Idaho Falls, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, one sister, Gesina; two brothers, J. D. Siebels and H. J. Siebels.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 14 with Sioux Center. Burial Association in charge. Services will be 1:45 p.m. at the house and 2:00 p.m. at St. John’s American Lutheran Church in Le Mars with Rev. L. L. Belk officiating. Burial will be in the Le Mars city cemetery.
