Death Claims Old Settlers During Week
Mrs. Frank Bohlke Dies
Was Resident of Marion Township Thirty-five YearsMrs. Frank Bohlke Dies
Mrs. Frank Bohlke, aged 60, of Marion township, died very suddenly at her home, Thursday morning. Her death is ascribed to heart disease. She was apparently in her usual good health a few hours before her death and was found lifeless by members of the family.
Mrs. Bohlke is survived by her husband, Frank Bohlke, and three sons and three daughters, Mrs. Nick Reisch, Salix, Iowa, Mrs. Alfred Reisch, J. C. Bohlke, Peter Bohlke, George Bohlke of Le Mars and Mrs. Roman Mueller, of Struble. One son, Ferdinand, died during the influenza epidemic.
Mrs. Bohlke was born December 14, 1877, at St. Petersburg, Iowa, her parents being Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Bohnenkamp. She was united in marriage at Remsen, with Frank Bohlke, February 23, 1877, and they made their home in this vicinity since. She was a devoted wife and mother and esteemed by all who knew her.
The funeral will be held Saturday morning, at St. Catherine’s church in Oyens. Rev. Father Rolfes officiated and interment made in the cemetery at Oyens.
