Margaret Bruscher Claimed By Death

Life Long Resident of Marion Township

Death claimed Margaret Bruscher, 60, wife of John B. Bruscher, prominent farmer of Marion township, Monday, July 10, at her home. Mrs. Bruscher suffered a severe illness from a heart attack five years ago and had been failing in health since being subject to recurrent attacks.

Mrs. Bruscher was a lifelong resident of Plymouth county and was born August 15, 1879, near Remsen, a daughter of John Schroeder and Helen Treinen, who came from Luxembourg, Europe, in early days.

She was married to John P. Bruscher in St. Mary’s church in Remsen, January 20, 1904, Rev. F. X. Schulte officiating at the ceremony.

Mrs. Bruscher leaves her husband, two sons and five daughters, Mrs. John Graser, Le Mars, Mrs. Peter DeBlauw of Crofton, Nev., Mrs. Raymond Flynn, Le Mars, Mrs. Charles Eufers, Struble, Viola, Emil and Matt, living at home, eleven grandchildren and two brothers, Joseph and James Schroeder, of Remsen and a sister, Mrs. Math Feller, of Le Mars.

Funeral At Oyens

The funeral was held Thursday morning at St. Catherine’s church in Oyens, Rev. Father Henry Rolfes the pastor officiating and interment made in the St. Catherine’s cemetery.

Mrs. Bruscher was widely known in the community and was esteemed by all who knew her.

Wiltgen’s of Le Mars were in charge of the funeral arrangements.
