FORMER LE MARS MAN IS CALLED.
Son of Mrs. M. E. Cavanaugh of West Le Mars Succumbs After An Operation.

Mrs. M. E. Cavanaugh, of West Le Mars, received word yesterday of the death of her son, E. E. Cavanaugh, at Williston, N.D.

Mrs. Cavanaugh knew nothing about the report, current here, that her son had been killed in an automobile accident. She said that she was informed that he had died after an operation in a hospital in Williston.

Mr. Cavanaugh was born in Dalton, now West Le Mars, November 6, 1891. An obituary will be printed in a later issue of the Globe-Post.

FUNERAL RITES HELD
Remains of “Buck” Cavanaugh Brought Here For Interment.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Beely undertaking parlors of E. E. Cavanaugh, aged 37, traveling salesman who died in a hospital at Williston, N.D., Saturday following an attack of appendicitis.

Mr. Cavanaugh spent his early life in Dalton and LeMars, where he was known as “Buck” Cavanaugh by his associates.

The services were conducted by Rev. T. P. Potter, of the First Baptist Church, and interment made in the city cemetery.

He is a son of Mrs. M. E. Cavanaugh, of West LeMars. Besides his mother, he leaves a brother and three sisters.
