Mrs. Mary Flickinger Died at LeMars

Mrs. Mary Flickinger died at her home in Le Mars Monday, Sept. 7th, from a stroke which she suffered about ten days previous to her death. The deceased was born in England, August 24, 1861, and came to the United States when five years old. On July 4, 1882, she was united in marriage with George Flickinger at Le Mars and to this union were born four children, one dying in infancy. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ada Jordon, Plainview, Neb.; two sons, Elmer of Sibley and Clifford, of Crosley, Minn., formerly of Hawarden.

The deceased was well known to the older residents of this vicinity, being one of the old settlers across the line in Plymouth county. Her son Elmer of Sibley is well known by many, he being a mail carrier out of Sibley. Before her marriage, she was Mary Ashton and she lived with parents on the farm owned by Herman Mellies.
