Craig Resident Dies Suddenly Mrs. Ladwig Stricken While At Household Task
While preparing to do the family washing Monday morning about 6:30, Mrs. Lena Ladwig, wife of H. F. Ladwig of Craig, was stricken by death. Mrs. Ladwig had not been in the best of health lately, but her condition had given no cause for alarm and she arose Monday morning feeling cheerful and well.
Mrs. Lena Ladwig was born August 5, 1891, at Nokomis, 111., where she spent her early life. She came to Iowa in 1917 and was married February 5, 1919, to Herman F. Ladwig. Her husband and two children, Ellwood and Annaleen, mourn the loss of wife and mother.
Mrs. Ladwig was widely known in Craig community and her death, coming unexpectedly, is a shock to many friends.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 1:45 in St. John's church in Craig, Rev. L. G. Hanneman officiating and interment made in the cemetery at Craig. The arrangements are in charge of the Mauer funeral home.
