Mrs. John Hartmann

LE MARS, Iowa—Mrs. John Hartmann, 81, of Le Mars, died Monday at a nursing home in Le Mars.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Christ Lutheran Church, Grant Township, rural Le Mars. The Rev. Jack Hebard will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery with the Mauer Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Hartmann, the former Lena Marie Dirks, was born June 10, 1898, in Plymouth County and was a lifetime resident of the county. She was married March 9, 1921. The couple farmed in Grant Township until 1960, when they came to Craig. In 1973 they moved to Le Mars. Mrs. Hartmann was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

Mr. Hartmann died in April 1975.

Survivors include a son, Raymond of Anthon; a daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Elsie) Marienau, rural Le Mars; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a brother, John of Le Mars, and two sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Emma) Coleman of L e Mars and Mrs. Joseph (Edna) Hardacre of Le Mars.
