DEATH SUMMONS I AN AKRON WOMAN
Last Rites Are Held On Wednesday For Mrs. Axel Kilstrom
Following am extended! illness, Mrs. Axel Kilstrom answered the final summons at the Akron Hospital Sunday night, March 26, 1967, aged nearly 88 years.
Mrs. Kilstrom, the former Carin Johnson, was born, in Varnland, Sweden on March 29, 1879, and came to the United States, at the age of 16 with her parents, who settled in Leeds, Iowa. On Sept. 25. 1913 she united in marriage with Axel Kilstrom and they moved to Chicago, they came to Akron in 1919. Mrs. Kilstrom was an active member of the Wesley Methodist Church and of the Ladies Society of the church and was held in high regard for her many fine womanly qualities. She had been a resident in the Akron Nursing home since 1962.
Survivors include the widower; sons, Gordon of Akron and Clifford of Sioux City, and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in Wesley Methodist church. Rev. Donald Roberts officiating, Richard Smith was vocalist and Mrs. Orin Harris was the organist. Casket bearers were Henry Anderson, Milton Anderson, Stanley Anderson, and Daryl Port. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery.
