RUFUS H. CEILLEY DROPS DEAD FRIDAY

Dies With Name of His Wife On His Lips; Was Long Time Resident of Westfield Township

Uttering the name of his wife as fell forward in her aims at his son near Westfield, Rufus H. Ceilley, a longtime resident of Westfield township, and widely known in the west part of the county, died very suddenly Friday. Mrs. Ceilley had just called him to the dinner table from another part of the house.

Rufus H. Ceilley was born Marah 29. 1869 on a farm in New Hampshire and when a boy of 12 years of age came to Plymouth county with parents, who were extensive landowners in Portland and Westfield. After attending school and college engaged in farming and followed the occupation all his life. He was united in marriage Dec. 20, 1895, with Miss Marian Taylor, a member of another pioneer family in the vicinity. Three children were born to them, Edith, Julius M. and Walter H.

Mr. Ceilley served as township trustee and member of the school board many years and was an active community and political affairs highly respected by all who knew

The funeral services were held Monday in the Congregational church in Westfield. Rev, Wilson of Sloan former pastor of the Westfield church officiated. The interment was in Graceland Cemetery in Sioux City.
