DEATH OF CHARLES ZIMMERMAN

A Well Known Young Business Man, a Life Resident of Plymouth County Dies this Morning

From Tuesday's Daily

Charles Zimmerman died at 2 o'clock this morning. He has been seriously sick of malaria fever for a month past and last night was taken with a severe hemorrhage of the bowels which caused his death in a few hours.

Charlie, as he was known by his friends, was a fine young fellow and numbers his friends by the hundred.

Next to the youngest son of a large family, he has been a resident of Plymouth county for many years. It was in 1868 that Rev. Zimmerman came to northwestern Iowa to take charge of the Melbourne Evangelical church as its first pastor. Charlie was then only a little fellow of three years and has grown to manhood within the borders of the county. For a considerable time past he has been the senior partner with his brother, Will, in the implement business under the firm name of Zimmerman Bros. He was a hard working, clearheaded young business man and well liked in his business relations.

He was 31 years old at the time of his death. He leaves a wife and four children, Herbert, Samuel, Henry and a two year old daughter, Atuey.

The funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the German Evangelical church on south Main street, Rev. Emil Mueller officiating.
