Mrs. Ida Murphey
Mrs. Ida Murphey, 73, of Sioux City died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Louise Haitz Wednesday, after a sickness of about 10 weeks.
Mrs. Murphey was born April 3, 1880, in Illinois. She moved to Kingsley in 1892, and was married September 16, 1897, to Arthur Murphey, of Le Mars. They moved to OnWA WHERE Mrs. Murphey remained until about five years ago when she moved to Sioux City.
Funeral services for Mrs. Murphey who was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses were at 1:00 p.m. at the H. Christy funeral home in Morningside. Harold Burmaister officiated. Burial was in the Kingsley cemetery.
Survivors besides Mrs. Haitz are Mrs. Inez Bailey of Mapleton; one brother, Isaiah Stauffer of Sioux City, three sisters, Mrs. Tura Spray, of Vallejo, Calif., Mrs. Arba MacKay, of Kingsley and Miss Hulda Stauffer of Sioux City.
