OBITUARY OF MRS. JOHN LOVE, LE MARS
Mrs. John Love, a resident of Plymouth county since she was 7 years old, died Sunday, June 9, at 11:40 a.m. at her home west of LeMars at the age of 60 years. Her death was sudden and unexpected, although she had been in poor health for a number of years. In the past week her condition was known to be serious, but the end came quickly. She was confined to her bed only a few days.
The funeral was held at the First Presbyterian church June 12, and the body was interred in city cemetery. Rev. J. J. DePree in charge.
Mrs. Love is survived by three children: Margaret, Earl and Mildred. Five brothers and sisters survive: Mrs. Wm. Mc Kettrick, LeMars; Mrs. Jennie Gusloff, OF Sioux City; Mrs. George Gray, Tomah, Wisconsin; Melvin Norton, Wayne, Nebraska; Homer Norton, West LeMars; also several nieces and nephews.
Her husband died November 3, 1913, and a sister, Mrs. Mary MMeinzer Sharp died two years ago at Rapid City, S. D.
Mrs. Love, nee Ida N. Brown, was born October 31, 1868 at Brownsville, Minn., the daughter of John Brown, born in England, and Bethiah M. Brown, born in Canada. She lived at Brownsville until the age of 7 when she moved with her parents to Plymouth county. She was united in marriage to John Love October 24, 1893.
Mrs. Love was a member of the Presbyterian church for many years. She devoted her life to her life to her home and family and was loved and respected by all who knew her.
