Note: He at one time lived in Plymouth County, Iowa. He moved here with his mother Bethiah Moore Norton Brown and his step-father John Brown.

Egbert Norton Dies at Minnehaha Farm

Egbert Norton, 77, years old, died suddenly Thursday night at the Minnehaha county farm northeast of Sioux Falls where he had lived since January 6, 1938.

Funeral services will be held in the Miller funeral chapel at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon, with Rev C. D. Bullock, pastor of the East Side Methodist church, officiating.

Mr. Norton had spent most of his life in and around Sherman, S. D., but was born November 17, 1862, at Brownsville, Minn. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Norton and belonged to the Methodist church.

He has no relatives.

Funeral services were held in the Miller funeral chapel this afternoon or Egbert Norton, 77, who died at the Minnehaha county farm Thursday night. Rev. C.D. Bullox, pastor of the East Side Methodist church, officiated, and Mr. C. B. Van Audall was the organist.
