Louise Toel
LE MARS, Iowa – Louise Toel, 74, of Le Mars died Monday Aug. 9, 1993, at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church, Le Mars with the Rev. Larry Fett officiating. Burial will be in Le Mars Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home, Le Mars.
Mrs. Toel was born May 5, 1919, in Reading Township, rural Ireton, the daughter of Ray and Rose (Gartner) Beitelspacher. She graduated from high school in Le Mars and taught school for three years in Hungerford Township, rural Hinton.
She married Louis Toel Nov. 9, 1941, in Grant Township, rural Le Mars. The couple farmed on the Muecke farm until 1948, when they moved to a farm near Struble. They farmed there until 1989 when they retired and moved to Le Mars.
Mrs. Toel was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband; three sons and their wives, Randall and LaRae, Dennis and Desiree and Wayne and Jean, all of Le Mars; and six grandchildren, Carmen, Kimberly, Michael, Darrick, Ryan and Dawn Toel, all of Le Mars.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Roger; three brothers, John, Henry and Earnest and two sisters, Emma and Caroline.
