August 20, 1993 - September 22, 2018

Aaron Horn, 25, of Akron, Iowa, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.

Celebration of Life Service with Memory Sharing will be at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Rexwinkel-Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron. Pastor Larry Nilson will officiate. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Riverside Cemetery in Akron. Visitation with the family present will be after 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Rexwinkel-Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron.

Aaron Philip Horn was born August 20, 1993 in Omaha, Nebraska, the son of Kevin and Candy (Rollins) Horn. He attended school and graduated from Akron-Westfield High School.

Despite all of Aaron’s challenges, he had many joys in life, including a love for country music, racecars, and being outside riding his bike. He also enjoyed drawing and coloring. But most of all, he loved family gatherings. Many will remember him for his laughing and singing.

Survivors include his parents, Kevin and Candy Horn of Akron; his siblings: Jamie (Krista) VanderHelm of Akron, Kelvin (Missy) Horn of Akron, Justin (Geralynn) Horn of Wisconsin, Abby Horn of Sioux City, and Angela Horn (Adam Ostermeyer) of Akron; his paternal grandfather: Cecil Horn of Sioux City; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Frank and Sally Rollins; his paternal grandmother: Betty Horn; his brother: Timothy Langley; and his uncle, Frankie Rollins.
