OBITUARY

Mention was made in these columns last week of the death of Mrs. Fred Easton, of this city, at a hospital in Sioux City, after an extended illness of a complication of diseases, on March 8, 1920, aged 60 years, 4 months and 12 days.

Ella Frasier was born in St. Lawrence county, New York, on the 26th day of October, 1859. When seven years of age she went with her parents to Illinois and from there they moved to New Hampshire. At the age of fourteen she came west to make her home with her aunt. She was united in marriage with Fred Easton in 1876, and of this union five daughters were born.

She is survived by a husband and two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Malcom, of Allen, Nebr., and Mrs. Malita Baldwin, of Akron, Iowa, also a granddaughter, Mrs. Clara Johnson, whom she raised from babyhood.

She had been a member of the M.E. church for about thirty years. She was a kind and loving wife and mother, always ready and willing to do anything for a good cause. For twenty-seven years she and her husband lived near Allen, Nebr., and a year ago they came to Akron to make their home with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Baldwin.

She had been bedfast since early in November of last year, but about two months ago was taken to a Sioux City hospital for treatment. Later on, one of her limbs was amputated in an effort to save her life, but all to no avail, and death came as a merciful relief to her sufferings.

The funeral services were conducted in Akron last Thursday by Rev. M. E. Spahr of the Methodist church. Interment was in Riverside cemetery.
