MRS. LEO WOLL IS CALLED BY DEATH
Last Rites Are Held Saturday For Former Westfield Woman

Mrs. Leo Woll, 38, of rural Merrill, died last Thursday at a Sioux City hospital after a three-day illness.

The former Gertrude Beaubien was born August 6, 1927, at Westfield, Iowa. She was married to Leo Woll Nov. 22, 1945, at Akron, Iowa, and the couple farmed in Johnson township, near Merrill, all their married life. She was a daughter of Philip and Winifred Beaubien. Her mother preceded her in death.

Mrs. Woll was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic church Altar Society, Ellendale.

Survivors include the widower; two sons, Michael and Miles, and a daughter, Denise Michelle, all at home; the father, Philip Beaubien, Sr., of Westfield; four brothers, Philip Jr. of Westfield, and Bernard and Armand both of Sioux City, and John of Huntington Beach, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Levi Kapfer and Mrs. Melvin Foster, both of Sioux City.

Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic church, Ellendale, Rev. Edward Mason officiating. Burial was in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Sioux City.

**Research NOTE: This obituary does state that the burial was in Sioux City, IA. However, the deceased is also documented as being buried in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ellendale Cemetery, Johnson Township, Plymouth County, IA. The inscriptions of the Ellendale Cemetery tombtones were written down and transcribed by volunteers in October of 1975.
