LONGTIME FARMER OF JOHNSON TOWNSHIP DIES
Frank Woll, 86, longtime Johnson township farmer, died Sunday, August 4, 1957, at Sacred Heart Hospital in LeMars, following two weeks illness.

He was born April 4, 1871, Germany and came to this country at the age of 9 years, settling in Johnson township. He had resided on the same farm near Merrill since 1890.

His marriage to Louisa Goedert took place Feb. 26, 1895, at Ellendale.

Survivors include a son, John Woll, of Merrill; two daughters, Mrs. J. Henry Lucken of Akron, and Mrs. Frances Burke, of Jefferson, S.D.; 16 grandchildren, Leo Woll of Merrill, and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife; two daughters, Cleo and Josephine, and one son, Frank Jr.

Funeral services were held Wednesday of last week at St. Joseph Catholic church at Ellendale. Burial was in the church cemetery.
