Services Thursday for longtime resident Albert W. Baadte, 89, of Le Mars, died Monday, July 26, 1993, at Elkhorn Manor Nursing Center, Elkhorn, Neb.

Mr. Baadte was born April 27, 1904, at Matlock to Frank and Elizabeth (Moes) Baadte. He grew up near Matlock and attended schools at Matlock. He married Appolonia Feller on Feb. 14, 1938, at St. James Catholic Church in Le Mars. After their marriage, the; couple lived at Kaneville, Illinois until moving to LeMars in 1952. Since that time, the couple had lived in Le Mars. Mrs. Baadte died in August 1990.

Survivors. include a daughter, Marilyn Laughton, of Le Mars; a son, Marcel Baadte, of Omaha; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He also was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ronald Baadte; three sisters, Isabelle Harker, Mildred Callenius and Eleanor Williams; and two brothers, Earl and George Baadte.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Le Mars was Rev. Merlin Schrad officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Le Mars. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday with a scriptural prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at the Feuerstein Funeral Home in Le Mars.
