William Delperdang

William A. Delperdang, 52, Merrill, died unexpectedly Thursday (June 29, 1972) at his home after a long illness. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church at Merrill with Rev. James Farigman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of the Luedtke funeral home, Le Mars. Graveside rites will be conducted by Olsen-Halweg Post of the American Legion. Rosary will be said Frida y at 8 p.m. at the Luedtke funeral home

Mr. Delperdang was born Nov. 9, 1919, at Remsen, a son of the late Joseph and Emma Delperdang. He married Verda Heiden July 6, 1949, at Merrill, Iowa. He was employed by the American District Telegraph at Sioux City for 25 years retiring two years ago due to ill health. He had served with the army during world war 2. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors are his wife Verda from Merrill; a son, James of Merrill; four daughters, Mrs. David Albers of Merrill; Janet of Ames and Patricia and Cynthia, both at home; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Kramer of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Harry Reynolds of LeMars and two brothers, Cletus of Los Angeles and Al of Hornick
