Mrs. Gustave (Mathilda) Danne, 86, longtime Le Mars resident, died Saturday (Jan. 20, 1973) at Floyd Valley hospital after a brief illness. Her home was at 627 First Ave. SW.
The former Mathilda Bock, she was born Oct. 25, 1886, in Merrill, the daughter of Henry and Wilamina Kalas Bock. Her marriage took place Jan. 11, 1905 at Merrill. Her husband preceded her in death Feb. 7, 1958. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Calvary United Methodist Church in Le Mars with Rev. Tom Balm officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery, Le Mars, under the direction of the Luken-Johnson funeral home. A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Danne was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Le Mars. She and her husband farmed near Le Mars until moving to Le Mars in 1943.
Survivors are two sons, Arnold of Sioux City and Lawrence of Beaverton, Ore., and a daughter Mrs. Evelyn DeLair of LeMars; there are seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents
