Mrs. Mary Chapman, about 93, died early Friday afternoon at Brentwood. Arrangements by Mauer funeral home are pending. She was a longtime Seney resident.

MRS. ELAM CHAPMAN LAST RITES HELD MONDAY AT SENEY

Funeral services for Mrs. Elam Chapman, 94, lifetime Maurice resident, were held Monday at 2 p.m. at Seney Methodist church.

Burial was in LeMars Memorial cemetery under direction of the Mauer funeral home. Rev. Milo Morris officiated.

Mary Elizabeth Alderson was born March 23, 1873, in Argyle, Wis. Her marriage to Mr. Chapman took place Dec. 28, 1938 (error--1893), in Seney. She was the daughter of Jonathan and Agnes (Knewstubb) Alderson.

She died Friday [May 19, 1967] at Brentwood convalescent home in LeMars where she has been a resident for five weeks.

Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Orville (Fern) Cooper of Maurice; three sons, Earl and Marion of LeMars and Orville of Maurice; five grandchildren, and a sister, Sadie Alderson of Seney.

She was a member of Seney Methodist church and Seney WSCS.

Mrs. Chapman was preceded in death by her husband, Elam; a daughter and son in infancy; a granddaughter and her parents.
