MRS. EARL CHAPMAN FUNERAL RITES SET FRIDAY AFTERNOON

Funeral services for Mrs. Earl Chapman, 68, rural LeMars, who died Tuesday [March 23, 1965] at Sacred Heart hospital after a short illness, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Seney Methodist church north of LeMars.

Rev. Milo E. Morris will officiate and burial will be in LeMars Memorial cemetery under direction of Mauer funeral home. Prayer service will be held at 8 o'clock Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. Chapman, the former Verna M. McArthur, was born May 28, 1896 near LeMars and was a lifelong Plymouth county resident. She married Earl Chapman Aug. 23, 1916 at her parents' home near LeMars.

Survivors are the widower, one daughter, Mrs. Delton Gritzmaker of LeMars, her mother, Mrs. Duncan McArthur, the former Martha Jane Hinde of LeMars, and one granddaughter.

She was a member of the Seney Methodist church.
