They resided near Kingsley, Iowa, where she was united in marriage with Robert Hodgson,on March 7, 1883. Mr. and Mrs. Hodgson went to live on their farm in Stanton township, where they farmed successfully for 33 years.

About 20 years ago they retired from active labor on the farm and settled in LeMars, to enjoy a well earned rest and pass the autumn of their life.

The death of Mrs. Hodgson is mourned by her husband, two daughters, and three sons, Mrs. Jennie Harker and Mrs. George Heckenlively of LeMars; William and Robert of Stanton township, and George of Wessington Springs, S. D. Two infant daughters preceded their mother in death. She also leaves three brothers, John, Will and Frank Bainbridge, of Kingsley, Iowa, and four sisters, Mrs. J. W. Pratt, Mrs. Mary Hodgen, Mrs. Will Vining, all of Kingsley, Iowa, and Mrs. Ed Wulf, of Union Oregon. Three brothers preceded her in death.

Mrs. Hodgson was essentially a home lover. She lived for her home and family. She also was a life long member of the Methodist church.

She passed to her reward on Tuesday, February 4, 1936, surrounded by her devoted family.
