Amelia Maria Goldbesson was born in Schleswig. Holstein, August 30, 1846. She was married to Peter L. Kroger in 1866 and came with her husband to America in 1882 and settled in Woodbury County, Iowa, living since that time in the vicinity of Moville until a few weeks ago they came to make their home in Kingsley. She died at her home in Kingsley. May 21. 1909. She leaves a husband and four children to mourn her loss: Mrs. Chas. Hausman, of Anthon; John, of Washington County, Colorado; Mrs. Charley Bock, of Plymouth County, and Marcus living with his parents. Mrs. Kroger was a member of the Lutheran church and lived and died in that faith. Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon in the Congregational church by Rev. Spiker and the remains were laid to rest in the Kingsley Cemetery.
