Henry Rolapp

Henry Rolapp, 91, a resident of LeMars for 43 years, died Sunday afternoon at his home after several months sickness.

Mr. Rolapp was born March 5. 1864. in Germany. He came to the United States and Plymouth County, Iowa in 1889. After farming west of here, he retired and moved to town in 1912. He was a member of St. John American Lutheran church at LeMars.

He married Kathrina Siebels on June 30, 1898, near LeMars. She died in 1937.

Survivors are two stepsons, Hans Martfeld and Fred Martfeld, both of LeMars; two stepdaughters. Mrs. Meta Wilken and Mrs. Freda Johnson, both of LeMars; a sister. Mrs. Anke Ommen, also of LeMars; 41 grandchildren. 57 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1937, 2 sons and 2 daughters, as well as 3 sisters.

Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Wednesday at St. John's church. Rev. L. L. Belk will officiate. Burial will be, in the Johnson township Lutheran cemetery near Merrill, under the direction of the Mauer funeral home. Friends may call at the Mauer funeral home afternoon on
