Fremont (Nebr.) Evening Tribune:

Mrs. Frank Blum, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Marr, of Fremont, died at St. Catharine's hospital In Omaha Monday (August 20, 1923) after an operation (August 20, l923). She had been in failing health for the past two years during which time she underwent six operations, but gradually declined until the end came.

Jennie Marr Blum was born on September 28, 1885. In Fremont, and residing this city until nine years ago. She received her education in the local schools, attending the Sacred Heart convent at Lincoln and the Fremont Normal school. Fourteen years ago, she was united in marriage to Frank Blum, a Fremont businessman for several years, and they continued their residence in this city until nine years ago, since which time they resided three years at Logan, Iowa, and the past six years at Akron, Iowa.

During her long residence in Fremont, Mrs. Blum made many friends who regret to hear of her untimely death. She was very popular while attending school and in social circles here and drew to her many close acquaintances. She was always closely connected with Fremont and since removing her residence from this city visited here often.

She was married in this city and left here when her husband disposed of his business and established in the Iowa town, Mrs. Blum was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, the Highlanders, and was an active member of the Catholic church, with which she had been connected since childhood.

Surviving are her husband and four young children, Mary Elizabeth, Francis Charles, Peter Marr and Joseph Louis (one son, James Paul, a twin to the last named, died at the age of three and one-half years); her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Marr, of Fremont; three brothers. Zae, Charles, and Lewis, of Fremont, and two sisters, Helen and Madeline, of Fremont

Funeral services are held from the St. Patrick's Catholic church Wednesday morning at nine o'clock, Father O'Sullivan officiating. Interment will be made in Calvary cemetery
