James Edgar Betsworth Passes Away At The Age of Sixty, Seven Years

James Edgar Betsworth died March 7, 1926. He was born In Maryland on March 23, 1859. He came to Plymouth county with his parents in 1868. Mr. Betsworth married Miss Eva Hoover Oct. 12, 1880. She proceeded him in death, Dec. 7, 1913. Ten children were born to this union, two dying in infancy.

Surviving to mourn the loss are three sons and five daughters: Jerome Betsworth, Mrs. Frank Calhoun Jr., Mrs. C. Cummickel and Mrs. Ed Cummickel of LeMars; Edgar Betsworth, Mrs. Charles Brown, and Harold Betsworth of Merrill; and Mrs. E. G. Fletcher of Sioux City. Also, one sister and four brothers: Mrs. Mary Daugherty of Seney; Thomas Betsworth, Charles Betsworth, George Betsworth and John Betsworth of Sioux City.

Funeral services will be held at the M.E. Church at Merrill, Iowa at 2:30 o’clock Tuesday afternoon.
