Caroline Haudenshield

Mrs. Caroline Haudenshield, 61, Le Mars, died Thursday at the Cherokee hospital after an illness of several years. She had been there since July 1971.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Mauer funeral chapel with Rev. Robert Reitz officiating. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Grant township, under the direction of the Mauer funeral home.

The former Caroline Katherine Beitelspacher, she was born May 29, 1911, in Grant township, Plymouth County, a daughter of the late Reinholdt and Rose Gartner Beitelspacher. She married Sam Haudenshield May 23, 1933, in Le Mars. She was a lifelong resident of the Le Mars vicinity.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Henry and a sister Emma.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Loraine Jennings of Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Fred (Marlene) Seivert of Sibley and Mrs. Robert (Gladys) Harms of rural Le Mars; two brothers, Jack Beitelspacher of Maurice and Ernest Beitelspacher of near Struble; a sister, Mrs. Louis (Louise) Toel of rural Le Mars and eight grandchildren
